KiSS 95.9 is your place for all info on events happening in downtown Calgary this summer! We’re excited to partner up with Downtown Calgary Association to present all of these amazing events that you can enjoy all summer long!

Stephen Avenue Summer Stage – The Stephen Avenue Summer Stage is back for 2017. Stop by on your lunch hour, or look for it evenings and weekends through the summer to enjoy free live entertainment!

The Market on Stephen Ave – Tuesday August 1, 15, 22, 29 and September 5th from 11am to 5pm – The 2017 edition of the Market on Stephen Avenue is back! Bring your enviro bags and coolers! You’ll find up to 60 vendors from fresh food (produce, breads, pastries, etc) spices, sauces, treats, art fashion, jewelry and so much more! It can be found on Stephen Avenue between 1st Street East and 2nd Street West. Yes! Three whole blocks!

Calgary International Blues Festival – July 31 to August 6th – Calgary Bluesfest 2017 features a full week of Blues, with workshops, concerts & special events culminating in 4 days & nights of non-stop music at Shaw Millennum Park followed by the nightly Twilight Blues Series. Family Friendly. Arts Market, beer garden, festival souvenirs, YYC trucks & more!

Taste of Calgary – August 10th to 13th – Taste of Calgary is the city’s most appetizing festival, giving visitors the chance to sample the city’s food, beverages, music and other cool things.Discover Calgary’s global cuisines from a mix of unique restaurants and beverage companies. Plus get a taste of Calgary’s great musicians.

Peeled Calgary Cocktail Festival – August 12th – 14th – PEELED is a Calgary-based cocktail festival committed to supporting, promoting and growing the cocktail industry in Calgary. For its first year, PEELED will offer many different types of “cocktail interactions” and curated cocktail experiences. Downtown participants include: Bank and Barron, Klein/Harris, One18 Empire, Sub Rosa, and The Derrick Gin Mill.

Carifest – August 26th – Carifest is an annual festival held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada that showcases the arts and culture of the Caribbean.

Calgary Pride Parade – September 3rd –  2017 brings forth the 27th iteration of the annual Calgary Pride Parade – the signature event that colours all of downtown Calgary with rainbows and smiles! Originally a small march of LGBT Calgarians, the event has grown in leaps and bounds to become the second biggest parade in Calgary.
